[Peter smiled and nodded, taking a few more bites of his ice cream.] Great. We'll escape with no worries of falling.

[Kurt lowers the hand from his lips back to his knee, balancing on the balls of his feet and leaning forward, tail motioning toward the carton of ice cream before curling around the front of his legs.] May I have some?

[Peter blinks a few times then nods. Scooping some out of the carton, he holds the spoon out to Kurt.] Sure.

[He perks once again, letting out an excited sounding yip and reaching to take the spoon that he's being offered.] I was hesitant about asking because I wasn't sure if you would actually want to share ...

Really, I'm glad you did ask. I don't think I would have been able to finish it all on my own.

[There's a chuckle in response as he puts the spoon in his mouth, scraping the ice cream off then offering the utensil back to Peter.] Imagine the sugar coma if you did eat all of it.

[Peter laughs around another spoonful of ice cream. He coughs a few times but shakes it off.] I don't think it'd be quite that bad. I was thinking more along the line of brain freeze and stomach ache combo.

Ach! [Kurt swiftly raises both hands to his head, fingers twisting around the dual-colored strands at the thought of having another brain freeze.] Neither of those sound pleasant, so let's do our best to avoid them, shall we?

They're both unpleasant and worse when teamed up so I am all for avoiding them. [He takes another bite of ice cream before offering the spoon to Kurt again.]

[He reaches to take the spoon once more, brow furrowing and his nose wrinkling in thought. A shrug of the shoulders and he brushes aside the fleeting memory, body shivering at the coolness of the frozen treat as he returns the spoon.] Are you actually feeling better though, Peter?

[Peter thinks a moment.] Really I just feel sore and restless. I'll be fine after I get some rest. In a non-hospital bed.

Then ... [Glancing over his shoulder once again, Kurt eyes the door for a moment then turns back to Peter, a mischievous grin tugging his lips up.] Why don't we put our plan into action? If you are ready to go, that is.

Hand me those tissues then? [Peter takes another bite of ice cream and then sets the carton aside. He takes a breath and looks down at the IV still in his arm.] Got to get this out first.

[shadowblends]

[He turns toward the mentioned kleenexes, chewing the inside of his cheek then reaching with his tail to pick them up, offering the box to Peter with worried hesitance.] You're going to remove it yourself?

Thanks. [Peter smiles at the tail before taking some tissues.] Well, if we call someone it sort of defeats the purpose of sneaking out, right? Unless you wanted to help.

You're welcome. [Obviously, Peter has made a rather valid point, but he can't help the nervousness flooding through him about something going wrong.

His eyes widen, heart jumping into his throat, breath hitching for just a moment; he has very little skill in medical situations right now, but there's always a part of him willing to try. Kurt swallows past the forming lump and moves to stand, shifting so he's closer to the other male, determination replacing anxiety.] Tell me how I can help.

[Peter smiles and then carefully walks Kurt though removing the IV. When the needles are finally removed, Peter folds up a tissue and uses it to stop any bleeding.]

Now I just need to get into those pants...

[Kurt follows Peter's instructions step-by-step, removing the IV quickly, yet still using extreme caution while doing so. He breathes a sigh of relief once the other male is free of the item, setting the tube and needle aside.]

Ja, of course! [He reaches to grab the sweats and hands them to Peter, pivoting on the ball of his foot to offer him some semblance of privacy.]

[Accepting the sweats with a nod, Peter waits for Kurt to turn. Of course if Kurt peeks he'll find out Peter's wearing Captain America boxers but Peter gets into the sweats as quickly as he's able with one free arm.] Okay, we're ready to escape.

[As tempting as it is to look over his shoulder, Kurt doesn't turn whatsoever; he wants to respect Peter's privacy, since that's the polite thing to do, right? Once the web-slinger is (hopefully) dressed, he spins back around, arms tucking behind his back.] I'm ready whenever you are then!

[Peter stretches a little then offers a smile.] Let's get escaping then. [Picking up the ice cream again, Peter walks over to the nearest wall and gestures for Kurt to follow.]

Sehr wunderbar! [He grins right back at the other brunet then follows him over to the wall, giving one last, lingering glance toward the door.] Here's hoping we're sneakier than I believe we are.

Don't worry about it. We've got this. [And with that, he starts climbing right up the side of the wall.]

I'm putting my trust in you, Peter. I better not end up in trouble with any Avengers! [The teleporter waits until Peter is up a ways on the wall before pressing himself against it and following after him.]
